Features

Simple Implementation and Monitoring - The GB-820 Firewall is powered by GB-OS. The GB-820's fully-integrated features are configured and monitored through the GB-OS graphical user interface. The multi-layered configuration includes basic and advanced configuration options, reducing the complexity of maintaining firewall security while continuing to provide a wide array of powerful, customizable configuration choices for more complex networks.

Flexibility - The GB-820 combines GB-OS system software and GTA hardware into an easy-to install and use dedicated firewall UTM appliance. Comprehensive firewall features such as object encapsulation, policy routing, gateway selector and load balancing allow network administrators to mold the configuration to match network design. Optional upgrades of user counts, remote access client licenses and subscription based services provide the GB-820 with the flexibility to grow with your organization.
Remote Access VPN - Today's growing mobile workforce is increasingly seeking network access via laptops, iPads, iPhones and Android-powered mobile devices. Integrated within GB-OS and included as a part of a total UTM package with the GB-820 Firewall UTM Appliance, GTA's remote access options provides for safe and secure remote networking. GTA's remote access options include the GTA Mobile IPSec Client, SSL Client, SSL Browser, PPTP, and L2TP methods. Easy to configure and implement, these features provide the flexibility, performance and reliability needed in today's fast-paced mobile world.

VPN Acceleration - The GB-820 features built-in VPN acceleration, which increases throughput and allows organizations to easily handle increased VPN activity such as high-demand time periods for remote workers. By off-loading power intensive VPN encryption and decryption to the VPN accelerator, both VPN and standard connections benefit.
Dynamic Gateway Architecture The GB-820 includes GTA's unique Dynamic Gateway Architecture offering Multi-WAN failover, load sharing, policy based traffic management, and dynamic routing options. Routing capabilities include static routing along with routing based on policy, source, protocol or ports. Gateway failover includes support for six multiple Internet connections over multiple physical interfaces or virtual gateways over a single interface. Load balancing provides bandwidth management and assures maximum efficiency of Internet service. These flexible gateway failover and routing features provide business continuity by assuring network up-time.

Unified Threat Management - Organizations are protected against unauthorized access by a robust intrusion prevention system that comes standard with the GB-820. Attempts to penetrate the network perimeter's security through the firewall are logged and alarms are generated based on comprehensive rule sets established by the firewall administrator. GTA's Mail Sentinel Anti-Virus feature and commercial-grade Mail Sentinel Anti-Spam subscription option supplement the standard threat management features for an additional level of security to your perimeter's network defenses.
